My fandom has crossed into new terrain this week: I have become a fan who travels. We're in Cleveland for two games. Of the first (a crushing 5-0 loss), I will say this:
If Tammy Wynette watched baseball, she might sing:
"Sometimes it's hard to be a Tigers' fan,
Givin' all your love to just one team.
You'll have bad times,
And they'll have good times
Doing things that you don't understand."
If Scarlet O'Hara were a Tigers fan, she would remind us that "After all, tomorrow is another day." I think Leyland something to this effect though without Scarlet's "fiddle-dee dee."
